The game counts (20/10) for youth boys and (14/10) for girls teams may include games played against Canadian teams in the same age classification. U19 girls teams playing in games against Canadian Midget girls teams 17 and under will not count towards the (14/10) game counts since Hockey Canada's girl classifications ends at 17U. These games do count toward the total game count for the year.
No team may play in a Canadian League unless permission is secured in writing from the USA Hockey, MAHA, Ontario Hockey Association, and Canadian Amateur Hockey Association.
A Michigan team which has qualified in a Canadian League may apply to its District Council and the State Playoff Committee for permission to participate in District and State Playoffs.
